Know what you said and when
Brainstorming sessions with colleagues. Conversations with contractors. Treasured moments with family members. PhoneValet allows you to make an audio recording of all or just a part of a call. If you prefer to record all your calls, PhoneValet can automatically record all inbound and/or outbound telephone calls.
Your call recordings are easily accessible months or even years later from PhoneValet's comprehensive call log. You can search the call log by the number dialed, caller's name, date, or length of the call.
Listen to a sample recording between two parties to hear the great audio quality of PhoneValet recordings. Note how PhoneValet adjusts the volume to keep both parties sounding great. This recording has not been touched up, filtered or artificially improved in any way.
Sort through thousands of calls in seconds
PhoneValet's advanced call storage and search capabilities are powered by OpenBase SQL — a robust, relational database purpose-built for the Mac platform. OpenBase technology allows PhoneValet to find a particular call among thousands in mere seconds — making storage and retrieval of years worth of business and/or personal calls a practical reality. If you prefer to export calls into another application, you can even use PhoneValet AppleScripts to do it automatically!
Occasional call recording made easy
It's simple to record the occasional call with PhoneValet. You simply select the line you want to record on PhoneValet's convenient recording and activity monitor, then click the "Microphone" button. Your call recording can be of any length. At the end of the call, you can stop the recording or hang up, and the recording is ended for you.
It is often the case that only certain parts of a call are of interest for recording. For example, you may wish to pause call recording if you have to wait on hold or if a part of the conversation must be omitted for reasons of privacy. At any time during the call, you can pause the recording, then restart it later. When a call recording is restarted, an audio indication (a short beep tone) is always placed into the recording file — so you know later where the pause was.
To comply with the requirements of many jurisdictions, PhoneValet can announce to callers whenever a call recording begins, and when it is stopped or paused. Because this is not a requirement in every jurisdiction, these announcements can be enabled and disabled in PhoneValet's preference panel. (Consult any applicable regulations in your area before making call recordings.)
Automatically record all your calls
PhoneValet's automatic call recording is ideal for call centers, lawyers, security firms and all those who want to maintain a record of communications. It frees you from the frustration and expense of audio tapes, wiring nests and written notes by providing a clear and audible record of all your calls, both placed and received. You can even email the audio to others as a record of calls placed, decisions taken and statements made.
Boxes full of cassettes are a thing of the past as PhoneValet is designed to manage large volumes of call recordings on your Mac. PhoneValet also includes the ability to move or copy call recordings to CDs and DVDs without losing track of them in the searchable call log that remains on the computer. PhoneValet will even prompt you for a disc by name when you want to listen to an archived call.
Each CD and DVD PhoneValet creates has an index to the archived calls and recordings. Viewable with any Web browser on any platform, the index makes each disc a professional and presentable record of calls that can be delivered directly to clients, regulators or stakeholders.
Automatic gain control for high-quality recordings
If you have experimented with telephone recording devices before, you know that all recordings are not made equal. What seems like a normal conversation on the telephone can seem very strange in playback. Your voice can sound very loud, while your caller can sound too quiet. PhoneValet's automatic gain control solves this problem. It adjusts the recording volume during the call — so it's always just right.
When your caller is speaking, PhoneValet boosts the volume. When you are speaking, PhoneValet decreases the volume. PhoneValet customers report that, when playing back recordings of calls, it is sometimes easier to make out a quiet caller on a bad line than it was during the live conversation!
